Louis Vuitton eLVes and Sun Song 2025 Perfume Review – Our Opinion
Louis Vuitton surprised us in 2025 with two completely different launches: the sensual, sensuous eLVes and the radiant, citrusy Sun Song. Both fragrances are new to the market, but they're already generating a lot of interest. Below, we offer our own, in-depth analysis of each.
🌹 Louis Vuitton eLVes (2025)
Overall impression:
eLVes is a modern, multi-layered interpretation of rose. This isn't your typical floral fragrance. The rose is both creamy and fresh. It's accompanied by velvety notes of peach, spicy accents of cinnamon and ginger, all enhanced by subtle coconut milk and transparent yet sensual ambroxan. This is a sophisticated, emotional, profound, yet still contemporary fragrance.
Openly:
The opening bursts with juicy peach and the subtle sweetness of blackcurrant, with a discernible, spicy note of ginger and cinnamon. A surprisingly natural, almost edible opening.
Heart:
Centifolia and Bulgarian roses gain creaminess thanks to coconut and violet, but this isn't a vanilla sweetness—more of a velvety caress. Lily of the valley adds lightness and luminosity, not dominating but elegantly blending all the layers.
Base:
Ambroxan, patchouli, and subtle woods build longevity and depth. The scent doesn't become heavy, but rather acquires an intimate feel. After a few hours, eLVes smells like an elegant veil—close to the skin, yet noticeable and enveloping.
For whom:
For women seeking an original, modern rose with an emotional twist. Perfect for evenings, dates, and intimate gatherings.
Our rating:
9.5/10 – eLVes is a fragrance that shows how sensual, mature, yet never stale rose can be. Beautifully balanced, deep, and unique.
☀️ Louis Vuitton Sun Song 2025
Overall impression:
Sun Song 2025 is a pure celebration of summer. It smells like a morning at a holiday resort: freshly laundered sheets, an open window, and a citrus garden beyond. It's a fragrance that's simple yet not trivial.
Openly:
We're greeted by the freshness of lemon and petitgrain – natural, sparkling, and energizing. We can almost physically feel the citrus peel being crushed between our fingers.
Heart:
Orange blossom and neroli add a slightly sweet, white touch—as if transported to a garden in full sunlight. It's creamy, but not cloying.
Base:
Musk closes the composition – clean, gentle, and slightly flaky. There's no depth or smoky notes here. It's pure and comfortable.
For whom:
For women and men who want to smell fresh, clean, and radiant. Perfect for the office, the beach, or on hot days.
Our rating:
8/10 – for its versatility, naturalness, and ease of use. This isn't a fragrance for evening wear or special occasions, but it's perfect as an everyday companion.
